HEAP's Online Testing Capabilities
Transforming health education instruction to improve health literacy in the 21st century requires students to use higher order thinking skills to apply their health knowledge in relevant ways. With ongoing collaborative item development, the HEAP continues to improve the quality of the HEAP Item Bank to include assessment items appropriate for measuring 21st century skills at higher levels of thinking.
With an easy reach into the nation's health classrooms from HEAP's large member base, the HEAP can efficiently and cost-effectively engage in all forms on online assessments and view results in real-time. From evaluating the effectiveness of new curriculum or teacher instruction with pre- and post-instruction assessments, to developing and field-testing new items for eventual statewide health tests, the HEAP is experienced in all phases of the instruction and assessment cycle.
